The Pretoria Sleep Centre provides a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment service for patients with all types of sleep disorders and patients with neurological disorders. Our specialists are fully accredited with the HPCSA and have a track record of clinical and research involvement in Sleep and associated Medical Disorders. They have established a National and International reputation for clinical and research excellence.
The Pretoria Sleep Centre has two locations:
- The Little Company of Mary Hospital (LCOM) in Groenkloof Pretoria where a team of 3 specialist physicians and a Pulmonologist oversee the Sleep Centre and form part of a multidisciplinary team including nursing staff a sleep technician and technologist. The sleep laboratory at LCOM has a two-bed capacity.
- Zuid Afrikaans Hospital (ZAH) The ZAH unit is staffed by a senior Professor of Sleep and Neurophysiology, a resident Sleep Physician, a cardiologist and Pulmonologist. In addition our team comprises a technologist, a technician and two sleep and CPAP support nurses. Our CPAP clinic offers the latest state-of-art CPAP equipment and support for patients who require CPAP therapy and compliance monitoring. Our sleep unit at ZAH can carry out up to 4 sleep studies per night.
